As part of World Usability Day (WUD) celebrations on November 12, the Information Architecture and Knowledge Management Program (IAKM) at Kent State University will present three speakers who will discuss sustainability issues relating to Kent State such as the redesign of the university web site, http://www.kent.edu. Panelists will include: Melanie Knowles, Kent State’s new sustainability manager, who will speak about the various ways sustainability can be manifested and used in an organization; Sameer Jaleel, Kent State manager of applications development, who will talk about the recent Kent.edu redesign from the user experience design perspective and how it relates to sustainability; and Matt Pahls, Kent State senior applications developer, who will speak of the integration of the variety of products for seamless use for students.
