At fhios we are aware that the current economic climate has put pressure on budgets and schedules.  At the same time, providing truly engaging web experiences is even more critical for competitive advantage. A method that fhios has been using to overcome these very important business challenges is ‘Agile’ usability testing.

So what is an ‘Agile’ approach?
At a high level, it entails a quick succession of usability testing iterations with few participants. Between test iterations, debriefs between user experience and developers help ensure that any important usability issues raised during the sessions are not overlooked, and necessary product changes can be quickly made.

The benefits
This approach has enabled 70% of usability issues to be quickly identified in the first round of testing, a fast turnaround on subsequent testing iterations, and has fostered a continuing user validation culture between user experience consultants and developers. In addition, cost can be reduced as agile testing provides a means to support multiple projects on a smaller budget.

To celebrate world usability day, Dr Martin Hicks and Erdinez Hassan will host a FREE webinar to offer guidelines on how to get the most from agile usability and the pitfalls you should avoid.

We hope you can join us!
