Event Details
This event is part of a semester long class on "interactive media" and "interactive systems." Particpants will learn about user centered design in a 60 min presentation by Marcel Hastenteufel. He has been working with "SinnerSchrader Neue Informatik" for a decade. SinnerSchrader Neue Informatik is an e-business service provider, which emphasises HCI in its design. Mr. Hastenteufel's talk will inform participants on how the design interactive media and systems is done in "real life."
The presentation will be followed by a workshop. A device will be designed and prototypically implemented using paper-based prototypes. Required methodology will be introduced, together with a list of requirements for the final product. Participants then will design, visualize, and test their prototype. In the final phase of the workshop, the results will be tested by potential users.
This is a hands-on workshop, with a small time-frame, but with a large potential for insight into usability and user-centrered design. Additional and external participants are welcomed. Please register by emailling to: steffi dot beckhaus at uni-hamburg dot de
