With No Knives in Airports, What to Do About Packaging?

Has anyone ever found a bloodless way to get into those plastic, crimped packs of electronic goods hung in airport and mall stores? I forget my mouse or need a new memory stick and flight regulations preclude carrying anything more cutting than a cotton bud. Even when I am at home, those packs defeat a clean cut of the kitchen scissors and the opener needs oven mitts and safety glasses. It’s a wonder we use computers at all!
