Seminar: Make your web site more effective
14th November 2006 at 10:00-11:30 or 15:00-16:30 in Chippenham, Wiltshire As
part of World Usability Day, WUP is running a seminar on how to make
your web site more effective – how to increased sales, increased leads,
or have more satisfied users.
This will cover:
- Examples of the problems – video examples of how some household name web sites are losing business
- Explanation of the problems – we will talk about key issues that affect web site effectiveness – a site’s ‘information architecture’ (how the site content is ‘chunked’ and labelled) and the ‘scent of information’ (how users find information)
- Fixing the problem – We will demonstrate an approach to fixing these problems including a practical demonstration
- Examples of solutions – we will show examples of projects we have worked on and how these sites have been improved
The seminar is FREE
and aimed at businesses and other organisations in the South West with
websites. You don’t have to be a web expert to benefit from the seminar
but, even if you are, we think you will learn something.
