Join participants around the globe in the world's largest online card sorting activity! The activity will take about 20 minutes; you can sign in anytime on November 14th to participate.
Card sorting is a technique used to help identify how users organize, and expect to find, information on a website. The way the cards are sorted, and the labels the users give the cards are often used (along with other methods) to create the global and local navigation on a website.
Try out the demo of the online application we'll be using at http://websort.net/go/demo/
On Monday, November 13th, the URL will be emailed to participants who have RSVP'd with the organizer of the card sorting event. Participants will visit the URL to complete a survey providing demographic information so we can analyze the data. After participants have completed the survey, the URL of the online card sort will be displayed on the confirmation page.
At the end of World Usability Day, the global reponses will be
compiled and the results will be analyzed to look at
regional, cultural, and other demographic differences. The knowledge
gained from the responses will be shared with the usability community.
