Mona Patel: Committee Member-At-Large

Mona has over 10 years of experience in user experience research and design for public facing websites, applications, intranets, enterprise portals, medical devices and consumer products. She is known for her strong business sense, creative thinking, practical solutions, and extensive knowledge of psychology and marketing to create effective strategies and designs. Mona has developed user experience strategies and in-house usability programs for Fortune 500 clients through training, seminars and consulting projects and her clients grow attached to having her on the team for her quick thinking and incredible creativity. As one of her colleagues says, "Mona takes on big challenges and then makes them seem easy. She brings glamour to usability!"

Mona started freelancing this year. Previously, she enjoyed growing to a Vice President at Human Factors International (HFI). There, she consulted and taught for over 100 clients and led a talented team of user experience professionals. Prior to that, she worked at American Institutes for Research as a Research Scientist. Mona holds degrees in Engineering Psychology from Tufts University and and Marketing from Boston University. When she isn’t conducting and teaching research and design, Mona is busy practicing and teaching yoga, designing bathrooms, and taking pictures of weddings and babies.
