Event Details

Join the LA UPA for World Usability Day as we explore this year’s theme: Education: Designing for Social Change.

Nelson Mandela said: “Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world. If we agree that social change requires education, then just how do we make that happen? How can we make education more useful, usable and desirable? And how can we push the usability promise even further? How do we create educational experiences that are available and widespread enough to truly affect social change?

Our speakers for this event include:

• Jason Rosoff, Lead Designer for the Khan Academy
• Jeanne Hoel, Sr. Education Program Manager at LA’s Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA).

World Usability Day is the signature event for the UPA worldwide. This year's theme is "Education: Designing for Social Change." Details of LA's event can be found on the LA - Usability Professionals' Association Chapter meetup site, http://www.meetup.com/LA-UPA/events/35056522/
