Lori Webb: Committee Member at Large
Lori Webb is the founder and owner of Indspark! A small, Danish research, innovation, creativity and experience provider with a larger global reach. In connection with World Usability Day 2009: Designing for a Sustainable World, Indspark! has collaborated with Denmark’s preeminent green lifestyle store, EcoEgo, to organize the two day international conference Ecolibrium 2009: Sustainability and Usability in Balance in Copenhagen on November 12th and 13th. www.ecolibrium2009.com
Lori is also in the process of completing her first book which is entitled, Entrepreneurial Profiles. The book with related website features input from entrepreneurs of varying ages, cultures, celebrity, business constellations and economic standing from around the globe. The book is anticipated to be finished in early 2010 with excerpts available in November 2009.
Lori holds a Master of Science in Information Technology (Design, Communication and Media) from the IT University of Copenhagen (2004). Her thesis was the creation of Design Souveniring, an experiential design approach to improve cross-cultural web credibility. She has presented papers, posters or her approach at the Danish HCI, Persuasive Technology and CHI conferences. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a concentrate in English from the State University of New York at Oswego. Lori completed her studies in London, England through the school’s foreign exchange program
Additionally, Lori, has been certified as an Interpretative Trainer/Guide and Host from the National Association of Interpretation; as an Edward de Bono Creative Thinking Facilitator as well as completing training in Executive Retail Management from Macy New York; Leadership training from the American Management Association and shorter courses in Graphic Design, Human Resource Management and Coaching.
Born in New York, Lori has spent half of her life in the U.S. and half in Europe. She has lived in London, Paris and Copenhagen where she has resided since 1987.
