Event Details
In August 2011, the University Libraries at the University of Alabama transitioned to a new version of the Scout search and discovery application. Scout now includes full-text articles from our substantial electronic resource subscriptions, unique digitized material from the Hoole Special Collections Library, and our vast print collection from the Libraries’ Classic Catalog. With this new version of Scout, the University Libraries provide for the first time a nearly universal “one-search” across all types of library materials. To better understand our users’ satisfaction level along with their evolving needs, the University Libraries will be conducting usability studies in November. Scout is made possible via technology from EBSCO.
