When and Where: The Event will be Tuesday, November 14, from 10:00 - 3:00 at the Kite Conference Center, 30 South Meridian Street, in downtown Indianapolis. On-line registration is open now!
Event Schedule:
10:00 - 10:30: On-site registration
10:30 - 11:30: Opening session -- includes an interactive activity for all attendees
11:30 - 12:30: Networking lunch -- lunch will be provided for attendees who register on-line by November 6
12:30 - 1:30: Presentations: Business Interest Track - "ROI

Presenters:
ROI of Usability -- Anthony Faiola, PhD
Dr. Faiola is the associate director of the Human-Computer Interaction
graduate program in the school of Informatics, Indiana
University-Purdue University at Indianapolis. He is a Fulbright scholar
and received MAs from The State University of New York and Ohio State
University, an MFA from Ohio State University, and a PhD from Purdue
University. Tony has worked extensively in both academic and industrial
environments, having been in industrial graphic design for many years.
Introduction to Usability -- Richard Bellaver
Professor Bellaver is the Associate Director of the Center for
Information and Communication Sciences at Ball State University where
he teaches courses in Human Factors. He co-edited Knowledge Management Strategy and Technology and wrote Characters of the Information and Communications Industry
Richard is an AT&T Faculty Fellow in Industrial Ecology, an Indiana
Campus Compact Fellow, and a former officer of International Usability
Professionals' Association.
Usability and Risk Reduction -- Tim Altom, MA
Tim Altom is currently a consulting usability engineer. He has worked
for clients such as Eli Lilly & Co, Cummins, Wheaton Moving, Delta
Faucet, and Elanco. He has authored or co-authored books on HTML,
Python, and Microsoft Office, and has published articles on subjects as
varied as interface design, workplace problem resolution, and reading
problems. Tim is an adjunct faculty member at Indiana University-Purdue
University at Indianapolis, where he teaches courses in usability and
statistics. Tim's column "Return on Technology" appears biweekly in the
Indianapolis Business Journal.
Usability Testing -- Michael Kelly
Mike Kelly is currently a Principle Software Test Analyst for Liberty
Mutual, which is a fancy way of saying "software tester." Mike
also writes and speaks about topics in software testing. He is
currently the President for the Association for Software Testing and is
a co-founder of the Indianapolis Workshops on Software Testing, a
series of ongoing meetings on topics in software testing, and a co-host
of the Workshop on Open Certification for Software Testers. You can
find most of his articles and blog on his website www.MichaelDKelly.com.
Cost: $10 for professionals, $5 for students (payable by
cash or check at the event). Lunch is included for attendees who
register on-line by November 6.
