I'll discuss our efforts on collaborating with wider range of users
especially with senior citizens and people with disabilities. When
users use assistive technologies, it is often difficult to recreate the
same environment in laboratories. Not all the users can come over to a
specified location at a specified time. Also, users may worry about
getting to a specified place all by themselves. We think that gathering
opinions from these people is important because they can contribute
greatly to prepare for an aged society. To overcome the limitation of
time and location of laboratory testing approach, we have been trying
to conduct remote usability testing. In this presentation, I'll discuss
our researches on how to bring out user's opinions on user interfaces
remotely.
