Mobile internet is all around us and is the next big thing for designers, developers and researchers. The usage of social media is increasingly shifting from desktop computers towards smartphones and is becoming increasingly important in the life of mobile users.
But who is this mobile user? How do they use social media apps and web sites? In which context and why? And which problems do these users face while using social applications and websites?
In the context of World Usability Day 2010 valsplat (www.valsplat.com) organizes a diary and field study. Over a period of three days, six divergent people keep track of their mobile social media usage using a diary. On November 11th 2010 valsplat will present the results of this study. During a meet & greet we invite designers and developers to discuss this subject. Afterwards there will be drinks along with the opportunity to meet each other.
