Traditional
usability research requires a fixed usability lab or research
facility with one-way mirror and expensive video/audio recording hardware
and software. In the session, we will introduce the concept of portable usability lab.
The portable lab enables high-quality yet cost-effective research. It
supports recording and observing users in their "natural"
environment. It enables performing and recording usability
research anywhere in the world. It turns any customer site conference room
into a usability lab. You will learn first-hand how to build
your own usability lab.
