Information technology is becoming increasingly available to groups of people with culturaly different background. Often it is these social and organizational aspects of the systems rather than their technical qualities that determines if the systems will be accepted and succesful. To be able to work systematically with these aspects we have to be able to evaluate the systems usability. The systems usability however varies depending on the cultural context, just as evaluation methods and the basis for usability test do. Moderators trained in different cultural contexts will when examining the same stimuli using usability tests not necessarily produce the same results. In the Cultural Usability project we investigate methods for evaluation of systems usability for these new cultural dependent contexts. Focus of the project is on usability tests in China, India and Denmark. The project have been running for a couple of years now and we are ready to present the result of the scientific investigations and the experiences found in practice. The full program can be found on http://www.worldusabilityday.dk/2008/copenhagen.html
