Event Details
Day-long activities at the Museum of Science, Boston include: City SignWalk (group walks to examine city signage), the Examination Station (usability professionals conducting usability reviews of community and non-profit organizations' websites), the Alarm Clock Alley Rally (kids race to set alarm clocks and discuss the clocks' ease of use), MIT Media Lab Touchscreen Voting system (visitors cast ballots on prototype electronic voting machines), Usability R.A.C.E. (a "rolling accelerated contextual examination" where individuals learn intercept survey techniques), Facing Fonts (visitors match typefaces to photos of children in costumes), and more!
Activities begin at 9am at the Museum of Science, Boston and continue until closing at 5 pm. Event sponsors will have booths set up to discuss usability careers, the importance of usability to their companies, and to introduce local usability education programs.
